[COLUG] Out of Range Error on Boot

Try this,

   * Boot into run level 3 by adding "3" to the boot options
   * Log in as root
   * Move /etc/X11/xorg.conf to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bak
   * Run yast
   * Under System -> Graphics Card and Monitor, see if you can 
reconfigure the basic settings
