From what I understand, Uverse isn't fiber to the home (FTTH). The last mile
is still copper. It's a compromise solution compared to Verison's FIOS. I've
heard that Verizon cuts the copper to subscribers so that there's no going
back. As for Verizon FIOS ever coming to the Columbus area, not in our dreams
if AT&T can help it.
