Go to top story
  • The Central Ohio Linux Users Group (COLUG) is a loosely organized set of Linux and Open Source professionals and hobbyists. Its new and improved, web pages are here assembled from and displayed entirely with recycled electrons, and only with the finest Open Source tools. They are free of GIFs.

  • We are pleased to also host, and have present on this host, the Suncoast Linux User Group pages.

... and now for the news:
Phil J's Mail Header re-writing approach

Group member Phil Jensen has posted his approach to
mail header re-writing . This addresses the frequently frustrating issue of maintaining an internal domain with multiple hosts, and yet being able to seamlessly hand off external mail in a fashion by which an ISP's mailhandlers won't reject it as an attempt at 'Unauthorized Relaying' -- 8/24/00.

The old site, which was assembled with software from a legacy OS, from a couple of Closed Source vendors, is now obsolete, due to the upgrade ... .

  • This host, the new COLUG serverhost, is provided, and formerly lived in bandwidth kindly provided by LanShark. With Scott Sharkey's recent change in focus to Linux-centric efforts, in Linux Unlimited, LLC, the host has moved to the WCBE site, and joined bopper. [This host was offline from June to October, 1999, if one is viewing the web-stats.]
